THE KIND OF REPUTATION A YOUNG WOMAN SHOULD NOT WANT: 1 Timothy 5:11-16

I. THE KIND OF REPUTATION A YOUNG WOMAN SHOULD NOT WANT.

If you want a bad reputation with God and man, 

I) Love a man more than you love Christ (1 Tim. 5:11-12),

II) Love marriage more than you love Christ (1 Tim. 5:11-12),

III) Be idle and about instead of busy at home (1 Tim. 5:13a),

IV) Be busy with nonsense and gossip (1 Tim. 5:13b).

II. THE KIND OF LIFE A YOUNG WOMAN SHOULD DESIRE.

If you want to live a godly life, desire to

I) Marry a godly man (1 Tim. 5:14a),

II) Have children (1 Tim. 5:14b),

III) Manage your household (1 Tim. 5:14c),

IV) Give the devil nothing to use to slander the name of Christ or His people (1 Tim. 5:14d),

V) Stay close to Christ (1 Tim. 5:15),

VI) Care for those who are in need, especially those in your family (1 Tim. 5:16a),

VII) Serve however you can to ease the burdens of the church, not make them heavier (1 Tim. 5:16b).
