THE CHRISTIAN WARRIOR (pt.2): Psalm 144:3-4

DOCTRINE. If you would be a faithful Christian warrior, you have to rely on man for nothing.

IF YOU WOULD BE A FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN WARRIOR, YOU HAVE TO RELY ON MAN FOR NOTHING (Ps. 144:3-4). 

I) You cannot rely on man’s Wisdom (Ps. 94:11; Job 5:13; Is. 29:14; 1 Cor. 3:21-23; 2 Cor. 1:12).

II) You cannot rely on man’s Strength (Ps. 20:7, 33:17; Eph. 6:10-11). 

III) You cannot rely on man’s Support (Matt. 7:24-27). 

IV) You cannot rely on man’s Approval (Pro. 29:25). 

V) You cannot rely on man’s Salvation (Ps. 146:3).

(i) Man will offer you false salvation from sin’s penalty. 

(ii) Man will offer you false salvation from sin’s power. 

(iii) Man will offer you false salvation from sin’s pleasure. 

(iv) Man will offer you false salvation from sin’s presence. 

(v) Man will offer you false salvation from suffering. 

(vi) Man will offer you false peace in suffering.
